Dinner Menu For The Week Of 3/2/09

Wow- March already. I wish the cold weather was over. I love being able to cook something warm and hearty, but I think I am ready to move onto something a little lighter. Here is what is cooking for the first week in March.

Monday: Seasoned chicken breasts with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed carrots
Tuesday: Smothered chicken with onions and mushrooms, noodles, and broccoli
Wednesday: Beef pepper steak with white rice
Thursday: Vegetable Cheese Soup and salad
Friday: Baked salmon, buttered noodles, and green beans

Dinner Menu For The Week Of 2/23/09

Wow! I can’t believe it is the last week of February already…. As you can see, I like to end my month with something easy. Every good cook needs a break once in a while. I choose to take mine on a Friday.

Monday: Chicken Divan
Tuesday: Beef with broccoli and rice
Wednesday: Tator Tot Casserole
Thursday: Beef noodle soup
Friday: Good ‘ole Mac-n-Cheese (from the box- it is the cheesiest!)

Dinner Menu For The Week Of 2/16/09

This week’s menu is pretty exciting because I am trying two new dishes. Both from the cookbook that my in-laws gave me for Christmas. I will let you know how they turn out. I guess it is a good sign if they end up being made again.

Monday: Hamburgers with french fries and corn
Tuesday: Creamy Chicken with garlic cream sauce, noodles, and green beans
Wednesday: Tuna Noodle Casserole
Thursday: Asian Wraps
Friday: Chopped Steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables

Dinner Menu for the Week of 02/09/09

One of our goals at BFC is to help people out and give them dinner ideas, on a budget, for the week. I have been planning out our meals at home for a little over 2 years now and it saves me so much time and effort. Plus, it gives me one less thing I have to think about after I get home from work. Each week, you will see a sample menu. Please feel free to use it as a guide or take it for your own.

Having set meals in place will help you with your grocery bill. Before you go to the grocery store, you can check your pantry to see what you have already and what items you need to pick up for dinner that week. Make your list based on the items you need and also include your weekly basics. If you stick to your list, your bill will start to go down because you start buying only the things you need and not something that “looks good” that day.

Here is the menu this week:

Monday – Turkey Alfredo
Tuesday – Tacos
Wednesday – BBQ Sandwiches
Thursday – Spicy Mesquite Chicken Fettucini
Friday – Potato Soup
